Faith

No matter what decisions you make, what regrets you have, what you wish you’d done differently, you’re going to end up where you need and should be. Maybe one choice will make it so it takes longer to get there, maybe one choice will show you a lesson you need to learn and it may be harder but you’ll still get there either way.

Doesn’t matter what path you take, what decision or plan you choose to follow, you will end up where you’re supposed to be no matter what. And that thought brings me a sense of peace and comfort, it puts my mind at ease and allows me to live more in the present. Knowing that if I trust my intuition and do what decisions feel right to me, no matter the outcome in the end I’ll be where I’m supposed to be. I trust myself, I trust the universe, I trust my ancestors and guides. I have faith that things will work out for me, even if sometimes it’s really difficult and I’m struggling, I know I will come out of that and be able to move forward in my life and again, end up exactly where I’m supposed to be, that I have faith in.

Trying New Things

It’s important to try things even if you won’t continue them, how will you know what is for you if you don’t?
I’ve tried doing things that turned out weren’t for me and it’s only opening up the path to what’s for me. At the start of this year I thought I wanted to do tarot for other people so I practiced with friends and I realised it wasn’t for me and that’s okay. I would’ve spent so long wondering if I could do it instead of actually trying.

It’s not embarrassing if you stop what you thought maybe was for you, it happens, it’s normal, it’s a part of growing and learning. If there’s something you want to try but you’re scared you won’t like it or it won’t work out just do it. Find a way to get over that fear because you won’t know until you try.
It’s not embarrassing, you’re not a failure, you’re learning and growing, you’re exploring and finding yourself more. How could that be a bad thing?

Listening To Your Body

Listening to your body and mind is important, if you need to rest you should take the day off or find the time to let yourself rest but there are also times where you need to let yourself feel what you’re feeling and still keep working. Most of the time if I’m struggling mentally I give myself a break and give myself the space to feel what I need to feel but there are times where I know that won’t be helpful and I know that what will help me feel better is getting back to my routine. It’s important to learn when you need to do this for yourself, it’s important to find a balance.

Sometimes you need to take a break for a few weeks and sometimes you need to give yourself an hour or a days rest and then get back to work, it’s all about figuring out what works for you. Don’t over work yourself but also don’t let yourself rest too much to the point you’re stuck in a loop of not doing what needs to be done and losing the motivation to do the things that are important to you.
There have been times I’ve let myself rest too much to the point I’m sad I don’t have the motivation to do things that are important to me, yes we live in a world where we’re taught to overwork ourselves and never rest, which is why it’s important to listen to your body and take breaks but don’t let that make you lose sight of things you enjoy doing and are important to you (eg spiritual practice, going out with friends, getting fresh air etc).

If I take a break for too long I start to feel less like myself because I’m not doing things that fulfil me and bring me joy, so I find a balance. Once I feel well rested and like I can get back to my routine I motivate myself by taking it step by step and doing small things to build my motivation back up. If I’m having a hard day emotionally but I still want to work I do that, I keep working but I take it easy, I’m not hard on myself and I let myself have breaks when I need them. Figuring out what works for you, figuring out the right balance for you is important. Everyone will be different, this is just what works for me and makes me feel better. Always listen to your body and mind, you’ll feel so much better when you do.

The Present Moment

I want to talk about being happy with the present moment, this is something I use to struggle with but I don’t anymore. I use to have this goal when I was a teenager, a goal that I knew would make me happy, I knew I would be truly happy once I reached this. I was so focused on getting to that point that I never enjoyed the present moment. I was struggling with many things that I thought would instantly disappear as soon as I achieved what I wanted. Over the years of growing and learning I’ve found that this isn’t true.

The more I focused on this goal and nothing else the more I was neglecting certain parts of my life that are fulfilling and bring happiness and joy. It meant I wasn’t taking care of the space around me, I wasn’t fully taking care of my mental health. I had this idea of who I wanted to be and where I wanted to be that I was completely ignoring the journey it takes to get there.
If you have a goal you want to achieve or a person you want to become you need to find happiness in the present in order to get there, you won’t magically be happy with yourself and life as soon as you achieve those goals. You need to continuously be working on yourself. Why aren’t you happy right now? what do you need to work on right now?

You don’t want to ruin what you’re working so hard towards because you refuse to be present now and work on yourself now right?

Working on myself and finding joy in the present, being grateful for life NOW has ensured I feel happiness in the present moment. Have I achieved everything I want to? No, have I gotten to my dream life yet? No but I’m happy, I’m grateful for this journey and what I’m learning on the way to my dream life. I know as soon as I get there I’ll be happy because I’m always working on myself, I’m happy with my life and I’m grateful for what I have right now.
Learn how to work on yourself now, learn how to be grateful for what you have now and it’ll mean you will actually be happy with your dream life instead of dragging all the problems you’re currently ignoring into this dream life you want to create.

Money

I’ve found that my mindset around money has become healthier, when I stress less about money I allow money to enter my life, I allow positivity and abundance around money to enter my life. When I stress I create a block that stops what I need from entering. This can be said for any aspect of your life, when you relax more and stress less you make room for what you want and need to enter.

Yes it’s normal and understandable to be stressed over certain things but you shouldn’t let it consume you, stress can get out of hand and you don’t want to create a block for yourself that stops you from seeing all the beautiful things around you, that stops you from letting what you want and need to enter your life. I want to live a stress free life, yes there will be times when I’m stressed but I will learn to manage it in a healthy way so that the stress doesn’t stay for longer than it needs to. The peace I feel when I realise I no longer get stressed about certain things is amazing and I’m teaching myself to let go of any stress I feel too.

I get easily stressed when my room is messy so I clean up after myself all the time, I put away my clothes when I change, I take dishes downstairs when I go to the kitchen, I dedicate Sundays to fully cleaning my room. These habits have helped me create a stress free environment in my space. I know it’s hard for some people to clean but learning how to do these small things can make such a huge impact. The same can be said for money, eating healthier, exercising. Something my dad taught me is that every time you either spend or receive money say “thank you money”, either say it in your head or out loud. I’ve been doing that all the time and it’s amazing the way my mindset around money has shifted. I know it might sound silly to some but you should try it, it really works.

Anytime I find I’ve been stressed, upset, feeling out of place I look over what I’ve been doing in my life recently and seeing what I need to change and what small steps I can take to really help me, small steps are key to getting to the bigger results you’re looking for.

Feeling Your Emotions

In my experience letting myself feel my emotions has been much more productive and helpful than running from them and pushing them away, stressing about feeling a certain emotion and pushing it away is only going to cause you more pain and prolong the hurt. If for example I’m experiencing anxiety, if I spend all day trying to run from that emotion and stressing about why I’m feeling anxious, I’m only making it harder on myself. Whereas when I let myself feel that anxiety I find it passes quicker than I thought and letting myself feel that emotion ends up not being as painful as I thought it would be.

Have you been allowing yourself to feel your emotions or have you been running from them? Next time you feel anxious or sad let yourself feel it, don’t try and run from it. You’ll see that those emotions will pass quicker and you’ll see that it’s much less painful than if you were to spend time pushing that emotion way and stressing over why you feel that way. You are literally causing yourself more pain when you do that, I promise it’s not so bad when you give yourself the space and time to feel your emotions whether that’s anxiety, sadness, stress etc. Don’t unnecessarily prolong the pain and make it worse for yourself, give yourself the space to feel what you need to.

Silence

I believe there is a problem where we are constantly consuming, constantly trying to stay busy. So many people can’t just stop and be still, why can’t we just stop and observe in silence. Theres this lifestyle that’s pushed on us where we have to constantly be doing something, we watch shows when we eat, we go on our phones when we’re on a train, we make plan after plan after plan just to stay busy and stay doing something.

Why can’t we just sit, sit in silence when we’re eating, being present in the moment when we’re on a train, spending a day or a week alone just being and working on ourselves. We shouldn’t feel the need to constantly stay busy and stay consuming things, that’s not a life I want to live and I don’t believe its healthy. It’s not healthy to fear sitting in silence, to constantly be looking for a distraction, that’s not healthy and we need to address it.
I have moments where I find I am constantly consuming, it is a hard cycle to escape but we have to hold ourselves accountable and unlearn something that’s been so ingrained in all of us. It’s okay to not be busy, it’s okay to just be, it’s okay to just exist and be present.

You do not have to constantly be doing something, take a step back and look at the way you are spending your time, where can you dedicate a day or an hour or even just 5/10 minutes to do nothing, no phone, no distractions, just being with yourself. It can even just be when you’re sitting eating dinner, instead of watching something just sit and eat in silence with your thoughts. Small habits like this will help your mind so much, it will help you find peace and understanding. Sit in silence and look at everything around you, observe your thoughts and let them pass by. Don’t be scared of yourself and your mind, there is nothing to fear, it’s okay to just be.

Every Day Is Different

This is your reminder that everyday is not the same, every week is not the same, every day is different. You’re maybe going to the same job or seeing the same people sure, but you’re having different conversations, maybe eating different food, when you’re walking around outside you’re surrounded by people you weren’t surrounded by yesterday or even an hour before.
Every single day is a brand new day, with the opportunity for literally anything to happen, the are no same days in this world, it’s literally impossible. Each day is a new chance to try something different, to meet someone new, to change up your schedule. Life is not monotonous, it’s constantly changing and growing, expanding, it’s never the same. Even if you don’t notice it because there aren’t huge, massive changes constantly happening, it’s still not the same and it never will be. The Monday you had last week is not the same Monday you’ll have this week.
Take this as a sign that you can do anything you want, the universe gives you a brand new day every single day, a day that’s never existed before, isn’t that exciting? Try and do something new every day, even if it’s something small like trying a new drink or food, take notice of the small (or big) changes that happen every day and you’ll start to see that you’re not reliving the same day over and over again, you’ll see the opportunities and the potential for something fun to happen if you choose to take that chance, you’ll see how fulfilling life can be when you just shift your perspective ever so slightly.

Change Your Perspective

This is your reminder to stop thinking money is the only way to manifest what you want in life, when you only focus on trying to save money or manifest money in order to achieve your goal you are confining your mind and limiting your potential because money isn’t the only way to achieve what you want. I know your immediate thought might be “no, money is the only way” but that’s simply not true. When you open yourself up to other possibilities anything can happen, the universe will bring you your manifestation in a way you had no idea was possible, but you have to open your mind to it. Really think about what it is you want to manifest, is it actually money? Or is the end goal something different? The end goal is usually something different so start shifting your focus from money to what your true end goal is, things will start changing when you do that because your focus will be on what you actually, truly desire. Money is only one path to getting what you want, there are a million other possibilities you aren’t considering, open up your mind to those possibilities, stop limiting yourself.
